What you'll learn
Introduction to Behavioral Design explores why logical and well-intentioned solutions do not always lead to the expected outcomes. The course introduces learners to the principles of behavioral science and explains how understanding human behavior can help identify the right problems, uncover the reasons behind people’s actions, and create more effective solutions. Through six focused lessons, learners explore problem reframing, behavioral patterns, idea generation, intervention design, and impact evaluation. The course also examines how behavioral science is applied across organizations, communities, public policy, products, and services to develop practical solutions based on evidence rather than assumptions. Learning Outcomes: > Understand the basic principles of behavioral science. > Explain why logical solutions may not change behavior. > Identify and reframe behavioral problems. > Investigate the factors influencing people’s actions. > Generate practical and behavior-focused solutions. > Design and test behavioral interventions. > Evaluate whether a solution creates meaningful impact. > Apply behavioral design across real-world contexts. > Earn a certificate of completion.
