Foundations of Agentic AI

✔ Apply your build to the Microsoft Imagine Cup, Conrad Challenge Cyber-Technology category and NASA International Space Apps Challenge.

Overview

Before the program Students receive a 1-hour pre-read covering foundational concepts, so Session 1 starts with context already in place. Week 1 - Understanding and designing Session 1 | Thursday, Dec 24 What is agentic AI? Difference between a chatbot and an agent. How agents perceive, plan, and act. Real-world examples with live demo. Session 2 | Friday, Dec 25 Anatomy of an agent. Goals, memory, tools, and actions. How to define a task clearly enough for an agent to execute it. Session 3 | Saturday, Dec 26 Agent design workshop. Students map out their own agent idea using a structured template. Group discussion and instructor feedback. Week 2 - Building and publishing Session 4 | Wednesday, Dec 30 Introduction to no-code agent tools. Instructor builds a live example. Students set up their tools and begin building. Session 5 | Friday, Jan 1 Building and testing. Students continue building, test against real scenarios, and refine. Instructor provides live support. Session 6 | Saturday, Jan 2 Final demos and wrap-up. Each student does a 2-minute agent demo. Peer feedback. Submission guidelines for project report and certificate. After the program Students complete their project report, submit for publishing, and receive their certificate. They walk away able to design, build and ship an agent for a task of their own choosing.
